i woke up at 7 today, dunno why aso. then went blog hopping on the helplessly lousy connection with the sch laptop. my com died u see. so.
then i went to read some chem stuff, from a book i borrowed from the lib on fri. focusing on organic chem. some 30% of the entire chem syllabus. say woah. "woah!"
had a home visit at 10, meeting my grp members at 9.20 at tanah merah. so i took 31 from my house bus stop. i tot i was running late, so i prayed hard enuf tat the bus came as soon as i stepped onto the busstop.
anw only 11 ppl turned up. which was quite disappointing, if not very. cos almost all of them said they were coming. anw then brought them to the home, which is rather near tms, the 14 route.
we stopped outside cold storage, and it was a place i was familiar with. we walked up the small slope and was welcome by the admin. bla bla bla.
went off early, gtg celebrate my dad's bdae. went to opp national lib to eat first. then went the dhl hot air balloon, or i wld say more accurately, helium balloon.
its huge. and operated by a single rope attaching the balloon and its passengers to the ground. we went up together, as in me and my family la. the wind was big, and the balloon went imbalance. like tilted to one side. 150m in the air and parco's not even the size of my thumb. its quite freaky when the wind gets strong, but i guess its a good experience.
after tat walk ard, walk walk walk. then went to cgh to visit my aunt. had a bad fall and her hip bone got kinda crushed. her op was yest and i guess she's better already. even though the pain worsened. irony right? -.- hope everything goes out well for her.
went cs hagen daz to eat, first time leh. quite deprived eh? abit too sweet la the strawberry sauce. but on the whole i wld rate 9/10. the atmosphere not so nice cos its supposed to be an open air concept, while we are in cs under a CEILING, and above a food court. so got all the funny smells from below.
while walking home, my dad got a pamflet from singtel. some promotion stuff. my dad was commenting on a $98 phone, then he say no money. so he continued reading and the word FREE caught his eyes. typical singaporean eh? then it continued. "only for new customers". my dad was reading it out loud, then he added on"what the hell la." in the kinda hong kong accent. damm stupid la. he doesnt speak my england, then it sounds warp, and so random, we were making fun of him as we walk back.
then went home. duh legs already going to break.
and slept.
its been a long time since my family went out together and had fun la.
in fact the last memory was when i was a kid. like say 6,7 years old. still innocent, pure, and happy.
just when my family had to get better, i had to lose something else. something tat i wun wanna lose....
here's a poem by robert frost, from THE OUTSIDERS by SE Hinton which i read for lit in sec 2. its one of the books i like alot, and i still read it when im free. read it at least 20 times. u can lend from me if u want to read.
here goes.
Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subside to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Robert Frost
