Today
i completed 2 soduku today! one from the TODAY paper and the other from the Wo Bao thingy. haha the Wo Bao one was easy, finished it between the trip from tamp mrt to ard simei mrt. haha. but the TODAY one was apparently much harder, and it took me quite a while to finish it.
ok. i woke up at 7 today, being shaken awake by my dad accidentally. so in order to prepare for the interview, i decided to read up some reviews on the XBOX 360 which i would be promoting if i took up the job. but i tink playing it would be much better than reading. i cant feel the excitement being described. but whatever.
went down to simei and met jon, and we went to down to amk mrt together. it was pretty much of a heart to heart talk about everything. like a confidance. yeap.
after we reached amk mrt, jon went to get a bottle of soy milk which he claims to be the best in singapore. hahaha. taste the same to me though. i have a bad sense of taste differentiation. sorry jon. we then headed off to the dumb interchange, which we got like so lost only a few days ago.
after taking 169, which is actually a tibs bus, we walked off to the SINGAPORE GODOWN building. now, tell me how would u pronounce tat? GOD OWN? GO DOWN? both seems wrong to me. blasphemy for the first case and detrimental for the latter. well but tats not the point.
after a freaking ulu walk down the road(hey i actually printed out the map ok? it was tat ulu) we managed to find the building. looks like a small but tall warehouse on the outside. and the only entrance to the uppper levels of the building where the first storey is a loading carpark is a small lift. the company's add is #04-05, so we walked down the aisle trying to find it. then we had to go pass a magnetic door somemore. the place is simply huge. and finally after many turns, we found it.
the company, btw Bloompac International Pte Ltd, has a very small office space. nt sure if it is only tat big or tat there are other offices in Singapore as well. but the interior was designed and exteremly well decorated. just imagine a dead quiet brownish setting of a warehouse, and in the next moment u step into a fully air-conditioned office with bright lights complemented with many toys, figurines, consoles and music! hows tat.
after filling a four page long questionaire, i went in for the interview. the boss name is Jeffery Ho. i wun say he is exactly frightening, but making eye contact with him is scary enough. but well. the interview went well and here is wad im offered and my working conditions, tat is if i accept the job.
Work 6 days a week, off on either mon, tue, wed, or thur. 1pm-9.30pm on these days. compulsory working on fri, sat, sun, cardholders day and pub hols. 12pm-9.30pm on these days. if u would calculate, it averages out to 9hours a day for a week. offered pay is $1,100. tat may sound alot to u. but if u break it down. it sums up to less than $5 per hour. which isnt exactly alot. this timing is aso a killer by itself. if i really take on this job, i wun have time to study, unless i wake up like 7am everyday which i would not for obvious reasons.
i dunno if jon is working or not. but after talkin to my parents and my eldest sis about it when i got home. they asked me to request to work for just one month instead of two, and appeal to be posted to the tampines metro booth. tat sounds alright to me. but i guess i will only call on monday. so should i take up this job? its not only about the mmoney and time tat matters, but the experience too, right? so should i or should i not.
after the interview went to bugis with jon. and we headed off to the Guan Yin Miao. and jon went to ask about his stuff, while i asked if i should take the job. well jon didnt exactly get a very good lot. but i wld just stop here and now elaborate further.
went off for lunch and walked around randomly. we tried to find the ABC building to buy muffin back for ma, but couldnt find it. well just her luck. haha. it was hot, and we went into parco for the air-con when jon suddenly felt like dropping some bombs. we were looking for a good toilet for jon when jon led me into the Continental Hotel. like omg. i nv tot of visiting a hotel toilet la. hahaha trust him to think of tat.
while he went on to conquer the world, i started the TODAY soduku i mentioned at the very beginning. it was pretty tough, but still managed to complete about a quarter of it until jon came out. then finished it with him and made the conquest of the day. haha. so jon's fren came, who is the Gamma House treasurer or secretary. cant rmb which. and she is taller than me. -.- not fair. cant rmb her name aso. sorry. but i doubt u wld be reading this anw.
then they decided to catch Rob-B-Hood while waiting for another fren, who was giving tuition. being kinda broke and tired, i went home first. dad ask me go home and swim him too. oh well.
when i reached home, dad was slping! like wth. when he woke up, he had to make dinner first, which would take about an hour plus to do so. was tired and crawled up his bed and slept until 7pm. feels good. =D
the question of the day. should i take this job or not? all opinions are welcome either on the tagboard or comments. but pls do not spam me. hahaha. learning more of html. and playing with my blog. haha.
