this is madness. the current electricity bill is going to increase 9% from next month onwards! omg its just crazy man. how are the lower income families going to cope? im sure there are many many other singaporean families that are much worse of then my family. plus the 7% gst. i mean the gst rebate isnt exactly much of a use cos its just a few hundred dollars and its like issued once a year for 4 years! the amount of expenditure of any normal family, given two parents alone, not considering any children, is so large that the rebate makes no significant difference at all. divide the $200~odd over 12 months and u will noe wad i mean. according the laws of economics, lower income families have a higher marginal propensity to spend since they have more unsatisfied needs and wants. i tink its just insane for a family of five to live with a grand monthly income of less than $1500. (i tink tats the level at which below u are considered poor. i tink.) scrimping. thank goodness i spend most of my money only on food. =P other than notes. haha
