Go... VEGE!!!

was doing spring cleaning part II with my parents today again and dug a book. its called The Perfect Way to a Healthy and Peaceful Life: Vegetarianism

it has the answers to many questions that are posed to vegetarians, so im just slowly going to type the relevant parts of this book out. haha. here goes.

Is Man by Nature a vegetarian or a meat-eater?

With considerabl evidence from the examination of the struture of the human body, many scientists have come to a conclusion that man is intended by nature to live not on meat but on a vegetable diet. There is a close correspondence between the teeth, jaws and convoluted intestineal canal of the human body and those of the fruits and herbivorous animals such as the monkey, cow, goat, sheep, horse, deer etc... except that their bowels are largr and of different shape; whereas those of carnivorousanimals like the lion, wolf, tiger etc... are entirely different. Dissimilarity of structure reflects different diet.

To begin with, both man and the fruit, grass - and leaf eating animals are provided with a set of even and exceptionally flat pre-molar and molar teethwhereby the upper and lower teeth fit into each other in order that they may chew and grind their food in a slight side to side motion. On the other hand, meat-eating animals have four kinds of teeth. They are incisors, canines, pre-molars and molars. THe incisors which have sharp cutting edges are used to grip small pieces of flesh and to stripit frombones. The canines are clongated and pointed and are used for stabbing the prey, preventing it from escaping and finally killing it.

In addition to the above differences, the alimentary canal of the human and the fruit and herbivorous animals are ten to twelve times the length of the body and this, permits food which does not decay too soon, a longer time to pass through; while the digestive tract of the carnivores which is short and simple is only three times the length of their bodies. This enables them to eliminate decayed flesh swiftly because flesh decomposes easily; and rottening substances can rapidly poison the bloodstream if they remain too long in the body. Besides, the stomach of a carnivorous animal contains ten times more hydrochloric acid than of human ad non-meat-eating animals.

From various scientific analysis, scientists and naturalists confirm without doubt tat the early inhabitants of earth were vegetarians. Henceforth, they make concession whether Physiologically, Naturally, or Instinctively; fruits vegetables, grains, roots, nuts and seeds are most suitable to the human body.

On top of all the contrasts, fruit and herbivorous animals are docile in nature but that of meat-eating animals are fierce and wild.
