"Cloning is one of many mechanisms species use to survive in a dangerous world. Indeed, the diversity of reproductive strategies seen in animals staggers the imagination. Some reptiles do not determine sexes gentically, but rely on different incubation temperatures to determine the development of males and females. Other creatures can switch sexes during their lifetimes, being born male and developing as females. Still others can switch sexes based on behavioural cues in the social groups. There is no one way development, grow and form sexes. There are many varied ways."

The Straits Time 25.02.2008

This abstract is actually an article about a female "dragon"(some lizard/reptile species which i cant rmb its name, but thats wad they call it) who managed to lay several eggs which eventually hatched into little dragons. What's amazing here is tat the last encounter this female dragon had with a male dragon was a few years ago. this actually implies tat the little dragons are actually clones of the female dragon. Note that cloning is something scientists have not been really successful at, but it seems so natural for this female dragon. Maybe cloning is already all around us, just tat we are unaware of it. It just so happened that the owner of the female dragon rmb-ed tat he did not have any male dragons. cool-ness. ok tats for the cloning part.

Then later in this abstract we see that some animals are actually capable of changing sex during there lifetimes for several reasons. and this "behavioural cues in the social groups" is especially interesting. the quote sounds so human tat it seems tat humans could also be experiencing this sex change too. some scientists claimed tat the increasing number of males with increasing female characteristics and behaviourial patterns is due to the shortening of the Y chromosome. One tat is brought up in a single opposite gender environment would tend to behave like the general likings of the environment. Similarly, some people would just realise their homosexuality at a later phase of their lifes. The point im trying to make is tat this sexual evolution tat we see in some animals is happening to some people as well. We are just one step short of the physical change, which i guess could be easily made up for nowadays.
