i staged a show without any audience.
anyway, watched a singapore short film yesterday night. the storyline is quite normal, its about this reporter who wants to interview this strange old woman living in a 1room hdb flat. so along the way, she interviewed some ppl and one of them actually realised that this reporter lived in this neighbourhood with her dad last time. she walked out of her dad(the mum left the family when she was young) because the dad did not want to migrate to australia where she would be living with her husband-to-be(the husband is actually a 52year old lecturer at the uni where the reporter studied in). apparently the mum left becos the dad was easily contented, living on the leftovers from restaurants everyday.
later on, the reporter managed to see through the camera her cameraman was holding that the old lady was holding on to a knife, and seconds later the knife was seen to be dripping with blood.
both the reporter and the cameraman rushed to the old lady's flat to find only darkness and stench. it was only with the torchlight attached to the camera that they found the old lady lying on the floor with the bloodied knife. a chunk of meat from her thigh was also seen to be missing.
and there was a sudden scream. the reporter and the cameraman moved further into the house and were simply shocked. they saw a big fat naked man sitting on the flooor, mouth dripping with blood, and holding a piece of bloody fresh meat on one hand. he was hysterically screaming"MA!!! WO YAO ROU!!!" in english"mum!!! i want meat!!!"
and you see the link. the screaming was really really scary.
so after this whole saga, and upon the reminder of the old man(who unveiled her true identity) that her dad scrimped and saved just to send her to australia(because she once mentioned to him that local universities are not good enough) to study, she went back to the house she used to lived in.
and the shows end there.
quite a good watch.
really. when reality is more scary than a horror movie. that makes life a horror movie by itself. hmmm
